School Transportation Subsidy

Application Guidelines


  1. Number of Students

        The amount of subsidy will be granted on the basis of the number of rented coach. To apply for the subsidy, the minimum number of students has to be 30 per coach (i.e. excluding teachers, parents, volunteers, etc.).

  1. Amount of Subsidy Per Coach

        Based on the school district, there are two types of upper limit for round trip coach subsidy:

  1. Approval Principle

The total reimbursement amount would be capped at the designated amount offered to school (based on location listed above) or the actual expense incurred, whichever is lower.

  1. Examples
  • A school in Tsuen Wan rents 3 coaches for 90 students to visit InnoCarnival 2018 at Hong Kong Science Park (30 students per coach, excluding teachers, parents, volunteers etc.) could apply for transportation subsidy up toHK$3,600 (HK$1,200 x 3 coaches = HK$3,600).
  • If this school only rents 2 coaches for 90 students (i.e. 45 students/coach), HK$2,400 subsidy could be applied at maximum (HK$1,200 x 2 coaches = HK$2,400).
  • If the actual rent of each coach is lower than the upper limit, the actual amount will be reimbursed.


  1. Application for school transportation subsidy will be approved on a first-come, first-served basis.


Application Procedure


  1. Login in with your user account and password. Select “School Transportation Subsidy”.
  2. Upon the application is received by the organiser, an email would be sent to notify the application status. You may also check the status by login with your user account.
  3. For all approved applications, the final student attendance list has to be provided to the InnoCarnival’s main reception upon your arrival. The official receipt of coaches rental should be submitted together with the “Receipt Submission Form” to the address listed on the form by mail on or before 18 November 2018. (If the actual no. of students attended is less than 30, the application will not be processed.)
  4. Upon validation of the application and official receipts, the reimbursement will be transferred to the school’s bank account directly (Difference in account name and the school name will NOT be accepted by the organiser).
