Innothon 10 KM, one of the events held during the InnoCarnival 2017, jointly organised by the Hong Kong Information Technology Joint Council and the Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation (HKSTPC), co-organised by Sportsoho and supported by the Innovation and Technology Commission, was held successfully today morning.
The Innothon 10 KM 2017 gained huge support from runners coming mainly from the innovation and technology (I&T) industry. Over 1,800 athletes gathered in Hong Kong Science Park this morning to compete for the glory of a championship through a series of intense heats. The race also demonstrated how technology can be applied in sports to enhance the safety and experience of participants. Each contestant received special gifts worth over HKD 600 in total. The Overall Female and Male Champions were awarded a game gadget.
The Innothon route falls within Hong Kong Science Park, starting and finishing at Pak Shek Kok Promenade. Runners can enjoy the view of the futuristic green architectures in the eco-friendly site. The organiser has also arranged exhibition booths for showcasing technology innovations in which runners can have the first-hand experience of the latest technologies applied in sports.
Innothon 10 KM 2017 provides participants with personal experience of the latest sports technologies, thereby promoting the benefits brought by I&T to everyday life.
